The Loomis Union School District’s strategic plan builds on the bedrock of a successful school system. The District’s plan commits to preserve the quality of the current educational program, while setting the course for the future. The vision of the district strategic plan is to become a premier school district that offers “state of the art” programs for students. The plans for the Loomis basin schools are unique and progressive in wanting to provide the best possible education in the State.
The LUSD strategic plan reflects a five year 2010-2015 plan for the district. In addition, the district’s five year objective goals are revised to reflect current priorities. Special attention has been devoted to the budget associated with strategic plan objectives. Given the current economic crisis facing California, most goals are not associated with an increase in funding. However, the objective goals of the district remain in tact, and the Action Plans reflect steps that can be taken to support the future direction of the district.
The strategic plan is a “living document”. Input is regularly sought from education stakeholders to make appropriate revisions and fine-tune the district priorities and goals.
Even though the district faces the perils of the State budget crises, it is vital that we continue to plan and refine our excellent school district. By so doing, we remain proactive and progressive in offering the best possible educational program for our community.
“Given a vision, an extraordinary effort
will result in extraordinary success.”
