Loomis Union School District is pleased to announce that all four of our Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) implementing schools have earned statewide recognition for their work during the 2017-2018 school year. Franklin and Penryn Schools earned Platinum PBIS recognition for the third year running. Loomis Grammar School earned Gold PBIS recognition, following two years of Silver recognition. Placer School earned Silver PBIS recognition for the first time this year. The California PBIS Coalition application and review process is a rigorous one and statewide recognition is an honor given to a small percentage of California schools. By successfully earning statewide recognition our district schools have shown that they are serving students’ social-emotional needs and positively addressing behaviors in a way that demonstrates, not only fidelity of program, but growth of students both schoolwide and, as appropriate, on an individual basis. Please join us in congratulating these sites for the great work they are doing to accept all, educate all, and respect all through meaningful implementation of the PBIS program!
As of October 2018, a complete list of schools will be available on the California PBIS Coalition website.
