Designated Instruction and Services (DIS)

Designated Instruction and Services (DIS): Designated Instruction and Services are special education related services that are necessary for a student to benefit from his/her special education program. When deemed necessary, and as determined by the IEP team, DIS/related services may be provided to the student. These may include, but are not limited to, speech/language therapy, adapted physical education (APE), individual or group counseling with the school psychologist, occupational therapy (OT), and physical therapy (PT).
