Supporting our local schools is at the heart of the Loomis Basin Educational Foundation. Through community fundraising and generous donations, LBEF provides grants directly to our schools to enhance educational opportunities for students.

Recent School Grants

2026–2027 School Year
LBEF provided $8,000 grants to each school site in the Loomis Union School District to support programs, resources, and educational opportunities for students.

2025–2026 School Year
LBEF provided $10,000 grants to each school site in the Loomis Union School District. These grants supported a variety of needs and enrichment opportunities identified by each school.

A History of Giving Back

LBEF has a long history of investing in our schools and providing resources that directly benefit Loomis students.

  • 2017–2018: To celebrate LBEF's 10th anniversary, the Foundation planned to significantly increase its school grants, with a goal of providing $10,000 to each school.
  • 2016: LBEF awarded $35,000 in grants to each of the seven schools in the district. Funds supported new technology, science, and visual and performing arts.
  • 2016: Following a record-setting Go the Distance event, LBEF gave back more than $75,000 to Loomis schools during the fiscal year.
  • 2012: LBEF granted $22,000 to the Loomis Union School District to assist with funding the Physical Education Program.
  • 2012: LBEF provided an additional $11,000 for new musical instruments for the LUSD Music Program.
  • 2010: LBEF organized a community fundraising campaign that raised $26,400 from parents and community members. LBEF matched those funds with an additional $26,000, resulting in $52,400 invested in the Loomis Union School District.

Making a Difference Together

Every dollar raised by LBEF helps provide opportunities and resources that might otherwise not be available to our students. We are grateful to the families, businesses, community members, volunteers, and donors who make this investment in our schools possible.
